Un'altra splendida sortita ad Amsterdam, in piena estate, davvero non ricordavo fosse così bella in questa stagione...
Questa volta ho selezionato e recensito per voi un po’ dei miei posticini favoriti ad Amsterdam, ed alcuni dei posti più cool e promettenti che non potete perdere e dovete assolutamente vedere!
Per la mia vacanza volevo essere al centro di Amsterdam ed ho scelto di soggiornare al Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky situato in piazza Dam proprio di fronte al Palazzo Reale. Nell'hotel vi è uno splendido giardino d'inverno la cui serra ottocentesca è un monumento nazionale, anche se questo non riuscirà a distrarre la vostra attenzione da un altro monumento nazionale: l'enorme dildo che campeggia in piazza Dam! In realtà trattasi di un maestoso obelisco in cemento e travertino eretto in memoria dei caduti olandesi durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale, il più celebre monumento dei Paesi Bassi, (per me incredibilmente somigliante ad una gigantesca Sabyan machine e, peraltro, in stile con i piccoli dildo che costeggiano le aree pedonali lungo le strade).
In fatto di cibo ad Amsterdam potete avere davvero tutto ciò che desiderate, ci sono ristoranti, bar, posti per la colazione o per uno spuntino veloce e magnifici take away per dolci e caffè.
Tra questi meritano sicuramente un passaggio lo Shilder's Cafè, il Maxime Cafè, l'Humphrey's bar, il Tweede Kamer coffeshop, il Greenhouse coffeshop, lo Zeezicht cafè, l'In De Waag, l'Abraxas coffeeshop, il Supperclub.
Another awesome sortie in Amsterdam, this time in the middle of summer, I really did not remember it was so beautiful in this season ...This time I selected and reviewed a few of my all-time favourite spots in Amsterdam, and some strong up-and-comers that you shouldn’t miss and you must check out for yourself!
For my holiday I wanted to be in central Amsterdam and I chose to stay at the Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky located in Dam Square in front of the Royal Palace. In the hotel there is a beautiful winter garden whose nineteenth century greenhouse is a national monument, although this will not be able to distract your attention from another national monument: the huge dildo that stands in the Dam! Actually it is a stately travertine obelisk erected in memory of the fallen Dutch during the Second World War, the most famous monument of the Netherlands (for me incredibly similar to a giant Sabyan machine and, moreover, in style with small dildos that flank the pedestrian areas in the streets).
In Amsterdam you can have everything you want, you have restaurants, bars, places you visit for breakfast or brunch and great take away stops for coffee and cakes.
Among these are definitely worth a ride the Shilder's cafè, the Maxime Cafè, the Humphrey's bar, the Tweede Kamer coffeshop, the Greenhouse coffeshop, the Zeezicht cafè, In de Waag, the Abraxas coffeeshop, the Supperclub.
