Lanciato poche settimane fa a New York, sta riscuotendo un discreto successo, il nuovo libro "The little Black Jacket" di Karl Lagerfield e Carine Roitfeld, che celebra, un classico, l'emblematica giacca Chanel, rivisitandola e reinterpretandola con nuove e moderne suggestioni.
Il libro contiene numerose immagini scattate dallo stesso Lagerfeld e più di un centinaio di celebrità, attori, cantanti, modelle che indossano ed interpretano con il proprio stile la famosa giacca icona della Maison. Tra queste, solo per citarne alcune, Sarah Jessica Parker, Charlotte Grainsborough e Tilda Swinton.
Il lancio del libro è accompagnato da una mostra che in questi giorni è approdata a Londra e che ho intenzione di visitare nel weekend visto che sarò a Londra fino a martedì.
Launched few weeks ago in New York the new book The Little Black Jacket by Karl Lagerfeld and Carine Roitfeld, revisited and restyled the classic jacket of Chanel. The book celebrates the effortlessly chic and timeless black Chanel jacket and the legacy of the brand’s founder Coco Chanel.
It comprises of images shot by the Lagerfeld himself and features over 100 celebrities, actors, singers and models all wearing the jacket in their own individual style, such as Sarah Jessica-Parker, Charlotte Gainsborough, Tilda Swinton and model Daphne Groeneveld to name a few.
The book accompanies an exhibition shown in London in these days, that I plan to visit over the weekend as I will be in London until this Tuesday.

This model is made of a bouclè light wool and has a silk liningin it. It has been its same boxy, unstructured self, since Coco first designed it, (the metal chain on the lining was Coco’s idea; it weights the hem so that it hangs perfectly on the body) and now, with Karl’s updated trimmings like dark silver buttons and braided black beads, it’s not only sophisticated but it’s also cool!
